As we begin to contemplate death and to embark on practical planning for life’s end, many of us long to leave a legacy beyond a transfer of money and property – one that ensures a sustainable earth for our loved ones, our communities, and generations to come. But where do we even begin? Join us to explore sustainable funeral and burial options that honor our love for the Earth. Together, we will ask the question: How do we align our end-of-life choices with our values while we are living?
Mallory McDuff teaches environmental education and lives with her two daughters on the campus of Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, North Carolina. She is the author of five books, including most recently Our Last Best Act and Love Your Mother: 50 States, 50 Stories and 50 Women United for Climate Justice. Her essays have appeared in the New York Times, the Guardian, the Washington Post, WIRED, and more.Â
