Learning in Retirement Lecture – Dental Health for Older Adults

Dental Health for Older Adults with Susanne Kolare Jeffrey

Once upon a time, aging led inevitably to extensive tooth loss and dentures. With a lifetime of advancements in preventive dental care behind us, though, many if not most of us will keep most of our teeth as long as we live. Healthy aging includes paying attention to teeth and gums. Dental needs do change with age, so it’s important to work with a dentist who is experienced in treating older adults.

Susanne Kolare Jeffrey, DDS, PhD is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Restorative Dentistry, Course Director for Geriatric Dentistry, and a dental provider in the UW School of Dentistry.
