Developments of Advance Directives & Dementia Planning with VSED with Lisa Brodoff
This interactive presentation will introduce new and improved planning tools available for people who have dementia or who want to plan in advance for that possibility. Lisa will present on the new advance directive for Voluntary Stopping of Eating and Drinking (VSED) as an End-of-Life option for those who want to avoid living with advanced dementia, as well as other planning tools for making choices during the long course of the illness. She will discuss the pros and cons of each tool and show you the new self-help autofill documents she co-created at Essential Planning Tools.
Lisa Brodoff is an Emerita Professor of Law and former Director of the Clinical
Law Program at Seattle University School of Law. She taught courses in Elder Law,
Administrative Law, and Estate/Disability planning.
