Richard Sampson has been a business owner for over 30 years primarily in the insurance industry. However, due to a family member’s illness in 2019, Richard became painfully aware of the high cost of long-term care. Working closely with an attorney, Richard and his family were able to get Medicaid Long-term care benefits approved for their ill family member. In the process, Richard learned that a spouse does not have to spend everything they own and “go broke” to get Medicaid benefits for their spouse.
